How to use the Reverse Text
- Paste your text.
- Choose what to reverse: characters, words, each word, or lines.
- Copy the reversed text.
Example
| Input | Hello world |
|---|---|
| Result | dlrow olleH |
Four ways to reverse
- Reverse text: flips the whole text, so “Hello world” becomes “dlrow olleH”.
- Reverse word order: keeps each word as it is but reverses their order on every line, so “one two three” becomes “three two one”.
- Reverse each word: flips the letters inside every word but keeps the words in place, so “Hello world” becomes “olleH dlrow”.
- Reverse line order: flips the order of the lines, so the last line comes first.
Pick a mode with the buttons and the result updates at once. Emoji and accented letters stay in one piece, instead of breaking apart.
Fun and practical uses
- Checking whether a word or sentence is a palindrome. Reverse it and compare with the original.
- Writing backwards text for puzzles, riddles and games.
- Turning a list upside down, for example putting the newest entries first.
- Testing how software handles reversed or right-to-left looking text.
- Making a simple “secret” message for fun. It is not secure, because anyone can reverse it again.
Tips
- Use “Use as input” to chain modes, for example reverse the word order and then reverse each word.
- Reversing the text twice gives you back the original.
- Line breaks are kept, so multi-line text stays in the same shape unless you reverse the line order.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with emojis?
Yes. Text is reversed by visible character, so emojis and accented letters are not broken apart.
How do I make upside-down text?
Use the Upside Down style in the Fancy Text Generator, which flips and reverses the letters.
Does reversing break emoji or accents?
No. The tool reverses whole visible characters, so emoji and letters with accents stay intact.
Is reversed text the same as mirrored text?
No. Reversing changes the order of the characters, but each letter still faces the normal way. For flipped letters, see the upside-down style in the Fancy Text Generator.
